Experience

I am a tutor with a passion for the natural world and teaching. I received both my B.S. and M.S. in Natural Resources from Purdue University. During my time at Purdue I worked as a tutor and also had the opportunity to work as an elementary paraprofessional. I get to mix both my passions in my current job teaching park visitors and students of all ages about geology, plants, wildlife, and water pollution. I find joy in helping students understand how nature is important in and to their lives. Since I am a well rounded learner, I can help other students learn in many different ways that can prove beneficial and be unlike what they do in class. I have found that I learn better through hands on working, visual examples, or reading and I like to incorporate these methods in my tutoring if possible. In my spare time I like traveling, hiking, camping, history, and to continually learn.
