Experience
I am a tutor who is currently a student at DePauw University. In the future, my plan is to earn my PhD in evolutionary anthropology from either Rutgers University or Indiana University. At the moment, I am tutoring students of all ages in various math subjects. These subjects include algebra, trigonometry, and calculus. I also have a background in German (I was a minor in the language in college and spent a year in Germany, becoming fluent), so I can tutor students in that as well. I can even help students with Latin, as I studied the subject in college. As a tutor in math, I realize that many students end up alienated from the subject matter because they feel like they're being left behind. This is very frustrating, but I feel as though I can help. I am able to start from the beginning with my students so that they build a knowledge base in the subject before moving on to more complex concepts. When you truly understand a problem, rather than just looking for an answer, you will have more success in the subject.Whenever I'm away from the classroom, you might find me kayaking, sewing, or doing crafts.
